Overview

Sheet Size:

The two standard sizes of large drawing sheets used by Ellerbe Becket for E and F Phase drawings are 42" x 30" and 42" x 34". They are available as menu selections on CAD. Unless required by a client, do not use other sheet sizes.

Title Block Information and Legends:

Located along right side of sheet and provides a consistent location for the title block, key plan, revision block, signatures, legend notes.

Graphic Information:

Primary drawing field contains graphic information (plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, etc.). The graphic area is subdivided into modules permitting 8-1/2" by 11" small sheet drawings to be incorporated into the large sheet grid. Module size is constant for all sheet sizes.

Perimeter Margins:

A perimeter margin is defined to prevent drawing information from being lost due to bindings and damage to the edges of sheets. Do not draw in the Margin area.

Typical Title Block

Identifies revision made to each sheets with Delta Number and date.

General Drawing Notes

Locate Drawing Notes below the Revision column when possible or on right hand side of sheet next to the Revision column when Notes are to lengthy for allow space.

Certification

Seals or blocks are placed above the Key Plan. Verify the size and number of Seals required to allow enough room.

Key Plan

Locate key plan in above the project name, include standard North Arrow Indicator placed near the lower right corner.

Project Name

Developed by Project Team in concert with the Owner. Typically include client's name, building name, address of the building, and logo where appropiate.

Title Blocks

Ellerbe Becket's standard title block is available on preprinted sheets for manual drafting and as a CAD block for Xreference into AutoCAD. Use title blocks on all drawings for Phase D, E, F with information completed. 1. If a custom title block is required, verify all  information on the standard Title Block can be included on the custom boarder.

Drawing Titles

Use titles which describe the overall drawings, do not repeat individual detail name for overall drawing title.

Scale

Indicate drawing scale in space provided within title block, if entire sheet is drawn in the same scale. On detail drawings and on sheet with drawings of several scales, indicate scales at each detail or drawing title.

In Charge, Drawn by & Checked By

Names should be entered as the first letter in the first name and the full last names.

In Charge = Person signing the drawing package.

Drawn By = Person designing or drafting (person who can answer questions regaurding the drawings)

Checked By = Is usually the Project Manager or Job Capt.
